Traditionally, the bohemian look abounds in spring fashion with flirty, romantic clothing and chunky, bold jewelry made of earthy materials such as turquoise, wood, leather and textured metals. 2006 is shaping up to be much the same, while fall’s hottest trends are carried over and incorporated into the popular looks for spring.
Color is expected to become more neutral and understated than in recent seasons. Classic black and white will combine with blues, corals, yellows and greens in tones that aren’t quite pastel, but not bright either. Instead, there will be a natural, earthy quality to spring’s palette that complements the bohemian look beautifully.
Reflecting our country’s growing sense of nostalgia for less-complicated times, fashion this spring will represent a “return to innocence”. Influence from the classic looks of the fifties and eighties will be apparent, yet designers haven’t entirely abandoned the modern. Look for classic designs with a contemporary twist.
In jewelry, layered looks are still to be found, but have become shorter and chunkier. Furthermore, choker-length necklaces have made a return in the form of chain or leather with a simple pendant or clusters of gemstones concentrated at the front of the neck. Gold filigree and wood components promise to be very popular. They may appear mixed with other materials or even with each other for a unique look.
Earrings are making a transition from the extremely popular long and lean styles to swingers, hoops, and yes, chandeliers! Watch out for new and creative looks for this classic design in the jewelry collections of 2006.

Winter of 2006 is becoming a distant memory, and with spring virtually around the corner, many adult men and women are in the hunt for an adult bunny costume for their next costume party and private event!
Like Halloween and Independence Day, Easter is another time of year adults take advantage of dressing up in their favorite costumes. Whether it’s for that special moment when the kids are searching for Easter eggs in the yard, or for the sexy couple’s fantasy that just want to keep their imaginations alive, depending on what your current desires are, a bunny character is a popular choice among many adults in the spring.
Individuals on a budget, consider what type of bunny you would like to be, and if you have no clue, maybe I can help you with a really “bunny idea” to help you get your imagination flowing, and possibly make your next event a humorous one. If you’re a serious bunny, don’t read any further! I don’t want you to start getting hopping mad at me. Ok, I will stop the rabbit puns.
If you happen to attend costume parties annually and you’re stuck on ideas of what costume you would like to do this year, one idea from another article I wrote on unique costume ideas was the Playboy theme that I believe will fit nicely. You will have to start off by contacting several friends, gathering one guy and several women friends. If you have all women, or all men, I’m sure you will figure something out together.
The Men: Go to your local thrift shop, or if you happen to already have a red satin smoking jacket (I don’t want to know any details on why you have one), use the jacket, and add onto them with some optional accessories. You will need bunny ears, rabbit teeth (optional), fuzzy white slippers, costume face paint, and one large real or fake carrot. If you love eating carrots, I would suggest you go with the fake one.
The Women: I know every woman’s dream is to dress up as a Playboy Bunny! Ok, it’s every man’s dream, but work with me on this one! Find yourself a tight body suit, sexy nylons, high heels, and for accessories you can get a bow tie, bunny ears, bunny makeup, and any other accessories you feel will make your costume unique.
When you arrive at the costume party, the final result will be Hugh (Bunny) Hefner and his beautiful Playboy Bunnies at his side. This costume idea fits the theme, and you can have fun playing the part, bunny style.
For the adults that have a larger budget and don’t have the time to shop at the local thrift stores, you can access a variety of adult bunny costumes online at some of the top costume supply stores. They offer adult bunny outfits and costume accessories that will have you ready for any party that comes hopping your way. Buying a costume is practical, because you can wear it more than once, and I’m sure you will have a friend or two that may want to borrow or rent it from you some day soon.
Whichever bunny costume idea you decide to go with, whether it’s home made or store bought, remember to put your personal touch and imagination into your costume, and have fun. I wish everyone a very happy Easter, and I hope you keep eye out for more of my costume ideas and tips for future costume parties coming your way this year!

1) Magazines: Magazines are a great place to start, and super convenient if you find one if you like– just tear it out and bring it to your stylist.
2) Your friends. They might feel a bit strange, but they shouldn’t mind you taking a picture of them to take with if you really like their hair! They’ll be quite flattered, too.
3) People Watching. Although it’s a bit more awkward to get a picture of random strangers, it’s still a good place to get basic ideas. From there, you could either describe it to your stylist or go out and try to find pictures of it elsewhere.
4) Websites: Websites can be a great resource for hair styles. Many sites have THOUSANDS of pictures, which can easily be printed out, etc. and brought to your stylist. If you can’t print it, burn it to a disc and bring it to a photo development place and they’ll be able to print it.

Of all the many shoe styles you could choose, high heels are the one that would give you the most benefits.
You’ll discover that shoes with a heel are an absolute must if you are looking to give yourself a makeover.
There isn’t another shoe style that can completely transform the way you look or provide as many advantages as a high heel does.
The advantages are all in the heel itself and specifically the height of the heel. It doesn’t matter which style of heel you choose whether it be a stilletto, wedge or even a block heel.
Provided you have the height you are going to get the benefits.
If you team your heeled shoes with the right clothes you can completely transform the way you look.
“Nothing has been invented yet that will do a better job than high heeled shoes at making a pair of legs look great.”
- Stuart Weitzman [Shoe Designer]
Ultimate Benefits
Harpers Index report that wearing high heeled shoes will lift your bum by 25%.
When you wear heels they alter your walking gait and because of this your hips are forced to move at a different angle each side. This creates a sexier look overall.
By wearing high heel shoes your legs appear slimmer and longer than they actually are.
By gaining height you are ultimately gaining a little confidence.
What to wear with your heels
Heels are one of those shoe styles that work with most styles of clothing. There are, however, some that they compliment better than others, giving you maximum results in altering your appearance and the way you look.
High heeled shoes are not just for stick thin women. A woman who is conscious of her weight or perhaps does not like her legs particularly will probably benefit the most from high heel shoes.
Heels not only lengthen the look of your legs but also slim their overall appearance dramatically.
If you want your legs to look longer, wear a pair of high heel shoes with a skirt that sits just to the knee. The shoe will in effect lengthen the lower part of your leg.
A heel with a pointed toe will add greater length to your legs.
Heels are the perfect shoe to wear with jeans or trousers. Not only will they add a little glamour to the overall style but if worn right will lengthen and slim your overall look. Your jeans or trousers should always sit just at the bottom of the heel itself. Again, adding a heel with a pointed toe will of course lengthen this look further.
If you have the legs for it, wear heeled shoes with shorter skirts to create that elegant long legged look.
If you have chunkier ankles avoid ankle ties or straps. This will create a look that only enhances your ankles.
“Not diamonds but heels are a girl’s best friend.”
- William Rossi[Shoe Scholar]
Styles and Designs
There are so many different variations of heels now its hard to know what to choose.
If you don’t particularly find them easy to walk in, choose a wedge heel because you get all the benefits of the height and walking in them is a breeze.
Choose a few pairs and vary your heel heights. This will create options with your clothes and colours.
Remember your benefits are all in the height of the heel itself. Get this and the rest is easy.

Just ten years ago plus size women were limited to clothes shopping in the two back corner racks of the local department store. We didn’t have a lot of selection in style and fit and really–we didn’t enjoy shopping for ourselves all that much. It’s hard feeling good about a wardrobe full of cartoon character t-shirts and too short stretchy pants, and it was disappointing to shop for more of the same.
Our choices in fashion were basic polyester stretch pants (remember those thick elastic waistbands ladies?), plain oversize t-shirts, and flowing, flowery polyester house dresses. Anything that was somewhat nice was stocked in limited quantities and at an exorbitant price.
Ladies we felt & looked frumpy and dowdy because that’s all we had to wear!
Today however, full figured women can now enjoy trendy and comfortable fashions–at prices most can afford. And with easy online access, we are no longer limited to what the local department stores choose for us. We can choose from denims, cottons, silks & satins. Flower prints, stripes, solids and polka dots. Well fitted career wear, two piece bathing suits, short pants, long pants–the sky is the limit and we have more choices than ever before.
Want to wear a fun, flirty skirt? Or a trendy tanktini on that fabulous beach holiday? No problem! It’s just a click away online. Your biggest dilemma will be choosing just one item out of the three or four that have caught your eye. What a shift from ten years ago!
Today taller plus size women can finally find those pants that fit both width AND length. And then there’s petite plus size fashions for women who are shorter than average. We’ve got fashion selections now that fit all heights of fuller figured women–short, medium and tall.
With online shopping, plus size fashion freedom has finally arrived for full figured women. Choose all the figure flattering and trendy styles you want and say goodbye forever to frumpy and dowdy. It’s time for us to shine like the beautiful women we truly are.
If you’re looking for plenty of options when shopping for plus size clothing, visit www.plussizegoodies.com for my top picks for online shopping stores for plus size fashions. Now over 40 stores listed! Copyright plus-size-fashion-secrets.com

Fashion has enjoyed, and often later lamented, it’s synergistic bond with the art world over the last century. From the Cubist motifs of Art Deco era dress to the Minimalist expression that exposed itself in clothing two decades after the movement ended, art and fashion have proven themselves to be less strange bedfellows and more passionate lovers who occasionally don’t get along. Whether art or fashion serves as the catalyst is of note, as fashion driven by art is almost always inspired while the alternative brings to mind the late 70’s/early 80’s Patrick Nagel atrocities which still somehow manage to find wall space in the instant time warp of style deprived neighborhood hair salons everywhere.
Enter the modern era, where art defies the conventions of labeling and boundaries have been distorted to the brink of extinction. What fashion borrows from art today is anything but derivative and often direct. As the art world has expanded, so has the fashion industry. The inclusion of avant garde art into the realm of acceptability as a fashion influence has nothing to do with consumerism and everything to do with the demand for personalization of the elements that the art itself is comprised of. From social commentary to the current political landscape, passions expressed in art are finding their way into the wardrobes of the disenfranchised. What was once born in the back of the mind and realized in an artistic medium can now be worn on the back of a shirt. Never before have options for self expression been so poignant, piercing and available.
Fashion itself has served as a canvas of purpose for thousands of years. From the finely gilded armor of crusaders long deceased to the red or blue handkerchiefs that indicate gang affiliation today, fashion has expressed every sentiment known to man, yet none so convincingly as conflict. Perhaps the expressions against complacency that are evident in art are making their way into the world of fashion in preparation for another conflict of sorts, one in which individuals are railing against the societal injustices and political malfeasance of the day.

Narciso Rodriguez was born in New Jersey in 1961 to Cuban parents. He studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, and upon graduation worked for designers such as Anne Klein, TSE, and Calvin Klein. His parents were not overly happy that Narciso choose fashion as his career. They would have much rather seen him in something more serious such as architecture.
Whether on the runway or on the red carpet, designer Narciso Rodriguez is in demand. He began is designer career in 1985 as a design assistant for fashion legend Anne Klein. Narciso has a gift for fitting a dress so that it is flattering to the shape of the woman’s body. “It’s so fantastic,” Narciso says, “to create a frame for a woman’s personality and her true beauty.”
While working at Calvin Klein Narciso and Carolyn Bessette [later to become Carolyn Kennedy] became best friends. It was Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wedding dress design that brought Narciso front and center stage in the design world. Narciso’s wedding dress design for Carolyn was the buzz around the world. On September 21, 1996, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy stepped out of church on the arm of John F. Kennedy Jr. Women went gaga, literally drooling over Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wedding dress.
Carolyn’s wedding dress was made from pure white silk. This simple dress was combined dress elegance, classiness, and sexiness into one knockout package. Woman began to realize a wedding dress could in fact look sexy. This was a whole new concept, never heard of before. For years most women had landed up looking like an overstuffed pilsbury dough boy on their wedding day. Narciso had accomplished in Carolyn’s wedding gown what women thought to be impossible. She had been transformed into this bewitching sexy princess. That look was created by one of her best friends, Narciso Rodriguez. It was Carolyn’s wedding dress that made Narciso’s a household name.
Once word got out who had designed the dress, Narciso was in demand by every major designer in the world. A dream came true when Narciso joined the house of LMVH. The draw back to this career move was that Narciso spent his life living out of a suitcase with very little time to spend with family and friends which he valued and missed dearly.
Narciso pressed on encouraged by the idea that he had finally “made it.” However, working for a large company can often stifle ones own independent design ideas, and it wasn’t long before Narciso discovered he no longer loved his work.
The turning point in his life was when Carolyn Bessette Kennedy was was killed in a plane accident. Narciso had lost one of his dearest and best friends and for him this was a reality check and a wake up call.. Life without friends, family and the love of his work didn’t seem like such a great opportunity anymore. Narciso left LVMH and came home realizing what he needed was the freedom of his own design collection.
Narciso was able to focus on his own line of clothing creating the perfect look for woman. Rather than designing dresses for matchsticks, Narciso’s designs accentuated the curves and bustline of the woman, creating what was called a real woman design. Narciso Latin background came through in his designs with each having a hint of Latin flare. Narciso said Latino women had figures and were proud of that fact so they were perfect for where he wanted to go with his designs.
Narciso talents as a designer were so good, he was even able to make the petite woman look voluptuous. Sarah Jessica Parker, Sheryl Crow and Salma Hayek all wore exquisite gowns designed by Narciso. Not one of these celebs was 6 feet tall, yet the fit of these gowns was to die for.
In the spring of 1998 Narciso debuted his ready to wear signature collection in Milan. It made it into virtually every major fashion magazine. Rodriguez’s American experience and Latin roots, combined with his flair for European tradition of fine design, are all part of his great success. In 1997 Narciso won Best New Designer from the VH1 Fashion Awards, and was awarded Hispanic Designer of the Year. In 1998 he won the CFDA Perry Ellis Award, In the past these honors have gone to designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera. In the past two years Rodriguez has been with the CFDA Awards: In both 2002 and 2003 he won the Womenswear Designer of the Year.
In a more recent issue of O Magazine Oprah Winfrey stands proudly wearing a golden dress designed by non other than Narciso. Now believe it or not this dress just isn’t gold in color, it is made of gold metal that has been pressed to make a dress fabric. The dress can be seein in O Magazine as well as at oprah.com.
Narciso is like a breath of fresh air when it comes to woman’s fashion. He designs for real woman. If you are interested in Narciso Rodrigues and his designs visit his web page at http://www.narcisorodriguez.com/narciso

Today the casual dress code has been embraced by employees of corporations in the United States. People have begun selecting more comfortable clothes to wear for work and even more comfortable ones for parties and other social occasions. There seems to have been a change in the trend and little appetite for more formal wear in the offices.
The attire of your employees needs to be within the acceptable business standards as well as making them feel motivated to work better. You could also allow your employees to wear casual apparel on one particular day during the week.
Casual corporate apparel has become a fashion statement today and the casual corporate apparel industry is making waves in the corporate market. You could sell corporate apparel to your clients, employees and to people for a nominal price by getting them customized through customization vendors.
Polo sweaters, twill shirts and sports coats, for instance, also make quite presentable casual corporate apparel.
Customization vendors take bulk orders for getting corporate apparel customized and help give them the casual look at a nominal price. While selecting customization vendors, you need to consider the number of years they have been in this business. The more the number of years they have been in business, the better they know their corporate market.
You need to accommodate some casual look in the formal corporate apparel in order to make a transition in the corporate apparel trend. Such a transition would be a transition in the popular image of your company as well as a great resource for the long-run.

Christian Dior dresses have been popular since the 1950s when the designer became well known for his sack style dresses. Since the 50s, Christian Dior dresses have been a staple for all seasons for many women because they promise to update a wardrobe instantly. Dior has become well known for his ability to create clothing that is very edgy as well as very elegant, so that there is something for everyone. Christian Dior dresses can be seen on the bodies of women walking down the sidewalks of your average city as well as on the bodies of women walking down the red carpet for Hollywood events. Most designer clothing is not this diverse, but with Dior clothes you’ll find that they can fit into just about every lifestyle.
The great thing about Christian Dior clothing is that they are by a well-known designer, but they are not necessarily very expensive. You’ll find that Dior clothing can be purchased online for less than $200 a dress, which means you can look great for much less than you might have thought! Prom dresses, cocktail dresses, even business attire can be Christian Dior, which will ensure that you will look great no matter where you go and what you do. The fact that girls can wear Dior clothing to their prom is awesome!
A great way to buy Christian Dior clothes is online. Not only can you buy direct from Christian Dior online, you can also find many wholesale dealers that will sell you this season’s dresses and clothing at great prices. You do not have to settle for last season’s styles when you buy online, in fact you may be able to find Dior dresses online that you cannot find locally, depending on the market in which you live.
This year Christian Dior dresses range from really soft and lacey and quite understated to very full and bright, depending the on the style of dress. Many of the cocktail and prom style dresses have a very full skirt as well as a cascading neck that can go as far down as the belly! Dior clothing is also exposing a lot of the skin on the back this season, which is sexy for all occasions whether it is your high school prom or your turn to walk down the red carpet. Christian Dior clothing is awesome because it can be worn for one occasion, but can also be ideal for more than that. If you wear a Dior dress to your prom you can also wear it to a cocktail party or even a graduation party. Vintage Christian Dior dresses and clothing are also quite popular this year, which is great because it means that your Dior clothing will never really be out of style. Because Christian Dior clothing is timeless you can consider each purchase an investment!
Christian Dior clothing has been popular and will continue to be popular for as long as people have an appreciation of simple style and a true sense of fashion. Christian Dior clothing is a classic, and is a real fashion line that started with something as simple but as stunning as a sack style dress. The fact is, Christian Dior didn’t have just one sensational style, instead this clothing line continues to set standards and even inspire other designers to up the ante and really pushes the limits in the fashion world. Christian Dior dresses and clothing don’t appeal to everyone but the vast majority of people find that his clothing is quite beautiful and stylish.
