The digital camcorder made by Sony that features a 60BG hard-drive which can store around a huge 45 hours of movie content is the DCRsr37ES. If you are used to having to mess around with disk or tapes then you will love the hard-disk on this camcorder. It makes viewing, rearranging and deleting your content very simple and fast. If you have ever recorded over some important content then you will love the safety of the hard-drive as this is no longer an issue. Content can be viewed quickly and easily using the Face Index and the Film Roll Index Features.
Movies can be enjoyed in outstanding quality thanks to the 1MP Advanced HAD CCD. It works by placing a microscopic lens on top of each pixel so that as much light as possible can be focused onto it. This results in the image quality being enhanced and the colour noise reduced. You can achieve sharp and clean images when shooting due to the SteadyShot image stabilisation system. The widesreen touch panel LCD is 2.7 inches in size which makes for easy content viewing. The onboard zoom microphone makes a fine job of picking up the dialogue of your subjects and filtering out all the background noise. The lens made by Carl Zeiss contains a powerful 60x optical and up to 2000x digital zoom.
When not using a tripod you can shake the cam if you are not careful even when you are shooting a still object. The Sony DCRSR37ES contains a SteadyShot feature which ensures that all your shots will be shake free. This comes in super handy when you are using the zoom to film a far off shot. Using the Super Smart mic on the Sony DCRSR37ES camcorder you can zoom in on exactly the sounds of your subjects and just record what you need and not all the other distractions as well.
One of the great pleasures of shooting film is sharing it with family and friends. It couldn’t be easier with the SR37. Transfer your films to your PC using a super-fast USB 2.0 connection and use your DVD burner to make DVD copies. It is even possible to burn from the camera without a PC if you are out and about. You need to buy the optional portable DVD burner for this and that will connect direct to the camera.
Managing your movie collection is hugely simplified by this software which is included with the SR37. Just install it on your PC and it provides a perfect archive for your films which are all just a click or two away. You can search your archive quickly and arrange your clips by date or by person. The camera can of course be connected directly to your TV for large screen viewing and the content can easily be burned from within the archive or uploaded to the Internet.
