Not that I don’t like to admit it, but dating games don’t “get” me. I finally bottomed out, merely hours ago I ate a whole bag of Oreos. During my birthday party while being single, duh! You better believe it was great. What does this mean? Actually, that’s when I first looked into singles events in Denver or Dallas.

I already knew the solution. I can mix up my social life with a professional dating service, Denver Great Expectations. Definitely turned out to be my golden ticket. Prolly wouldn’t be an issue, but it is. While eating corn on the cob at my 40th birthday at Oak Park this afternoon, Jim asked me if I’ve met that special someone. I just can’t believe that came up. I didn’t want to answer, but then laughed, “I’m working on it, chill out.”

Even Cousin Terry kept pressing me along the lines of my companionship situation. I said to the whole group: “I’ll be fine, do you even know me?”

You know what? Each one of them scoffed. Shortly after, I fell asleep that night so I could clear my head. But I couldn’t get it out of my head! I didn’t learn a thing. Chuck, who wrote to me from Egypt, offered his opinion that I join Great Expectations. I said, “That would do the trick.” I have some good friends. I am truly grateful for Great Expectations Dallas.

At the time, dating events were kinda foreign to me. I showed up already a little anxious, that I spilled a glass of wine on my blazer. That mess couldn’t pull the plug on the evening. The evening was bursting with excitement. The gems of the occasion had to be the other members, some who are my new friends.

I started going to these amazing Dallas singles nights with Great Expectations, I ran into some great people who I could tell feel the same way I do when it comes to dating. Don’t know why I ever let anyone give me a hard time about being single. Surprisingly enough, dating right with Great Expectations is my pleasure and just what I’ve been looking for.
